The primary objective of the course is to provide an in-depth exploration of various drawing and painting media. The journey starts with the fundamental techniques of drawing, utilizing pencil and charcoal to investigate line, tone, and structure. Subsequently, the course progresses to introducing color and expanding upon mark-making techniques through the use of pastels, watercolor, gouache, ink, and wash.
