Section A: Unseen Prose Non-Fiction Texts – You will analyze a diverse range of non-fiction texts centered around a chosen theme in preparation for responding to an unseen text. Section B: Prose Fiction and Other Genres – You will tackle a comparative essay question based on the theme of Encounters. The main texts for study in this component are Wuthering Heights and The Bloody Chamber. You will complete two assignments:
Assignment 1: Two pieces of original writing, one comprising fiction and the other creative non-fiction writing. Assignment 2: An analytical commentary reflecting on the studied texts and the produced pieces of writing.
