We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-weight designer to work for a fun and innovative company who specialise in party and celebration products, selling to retailers around the world. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our brand, whose innovation has no boundaries and has a keen eye on up and coming trends. The role will encompass a journey from from initial trends and exciting designs through to product and packaging artwork, with a photoshoot bringing the final products to life.
Your main duties and responsibilities for both Ginger Ray and own Brand projects will include but will not be limited to:
· Trend research and forecasting for the upcoming seasons and new product opportunities
· Designing and innovating unique and creative product ranges
· Drawing up CADs using illustrator to sell the dream to customers
· Working with the design team to produce & prepare finished product artwork to the correct standard for print/production and submission to factories
· Taking ownership of tasks to ensure deadlines of the Critical Path are met
· Liaise with product developers to ensure creativity is executed into the final “dream” best-selling product
· Assistance with Ad-hoc administrative projects
· Potential requirement to assist in photoshoots and trade show set ups
Key skills and experience:
· 2-3 years experience in a design role ideally at a brand or retailer
· Extensive experience in adobe creative suite including illustrator and photoshop
· A creative thinker and idea generator
· Commercial awareness and ability to design across multiple briefs
· Puts the brand and customer at the forefront of the design development process
· Ability to work to time critical deadlines within a fast paced environment with great attention to detail
· Ideally has experience of the end-to-end design process from mood board creation through to artwork
